recently announced that after "careful analysis" they have decided to discontinue the SMTP relay service that allowed mobile customers to send email. The shutdown is scheduled for August 29, 2009.
While the article does provide a link to
alternative services compiled by Verizon staff, we recommend the free
Gmail webmail service to all our mobile broadband customers.
